People always ask me what type of Yoga I teach. I have been teaching for a very long time, trained with many wonderful teachers around the world, and have worked with many different bodies.

I don’t teach ‘instagram’ Yoga … I teach what you need and what you want.

The purpose of our Yoga practice is for a functional body - we stretch, strengthen, align and integrate the physical, mind and emotional bodies. We don’t use the body to get onto the pose, we use the pose to get into the body. We take an inward journey of self enquiry, where we have a conversation with all of our inside people. We are guided to experience body awareness, to unravel the stresses of our demanding, modern lives and we take time to rest and harmonise. It is a practice that allows us the grace to be with ourselves as we evolve, and invites self compassion and kindness. We become aware of our reactivity, learning how to use the breath to help us stabilise and become more emotionally resilient.

  • Yang + Yin We begin with a warmer, energetic, flowing practice moving into longer, slower, deeper holds to create freedom and space within & around the joints, ligaments and connective tissue. We calm the nervous system and quiet the mind with centering breathwork and meditation for a well-rounded practice

  •  Once a month 2 hour restorative practice - 2 hours of long, deep stretches and breathing. We let the breath do the work for us, expanding the body from the inside-out, giving our body time to open up more deeply into poses. No big pretzel-like movements. No standing on our heads. Just laying, supported, guiding the breath in and out, tuning in to the sensations of our body and mind. Simple really. Yet profound in its effect. In our increasingly fragmented world, restorative yoga gives us an opportunity to become whole again.
